ACCESSIBLE . CITY / Frisco Advisory team
Hello Accessible City enthusiasts,
Thank you for expressing an interest in this endeavor. This is an idea I’ve been brewing a while, to recognize and celebrate achievements that make cities more accessible, beginning with our own city of Frisco, Texas.
There’s many factors involved in enabling accessibility or in preventing it from blossoming full. Our vision is to encourage more by celebrating progress in Accessibility, That is the spirit of Accessible . City.

“many deserving community members to celebrate”
I grew up in Frisco, My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I became a caregiver and support system before I was ten years old. Over the years the use of a cane turned into a walker and then into a wheelchair full-time.
Like many of you, I have seen the frustrations….you find trouble getting into a building or finding correct parking., even places that appear to be fully accessible, but are not.
Sometimes it's not about us finding the exact solution, but it's on us to raise awareness of an issue so we can help those who can solve it. These are the kind of things we do because it's the kind of people we are :) You can watch this speech here: https://youtu.be/Ri1H1WIaSuw?si=yEL3FHxsSeDtS-Ca
I look forward to working with you all for a more accessible city!
